- Quantum simulations, using ultracold atoms (especially Rydberg atoms) and optomechanics as platform to gain insight into quantum chemistry and biological physics (light harvesting).
- Theory of Bose-Einstein Condensates: Numerical simulations, Gross-Pitaevskii equation, Truncated Wigner approximation and other quantum-field methods, analogue gravity, solitons, quantum atom optics, quantum classical transition, Rydberg dressing.
- Theoretical Rydberg physics: Quantum transport, entanglement, Rydberg interactions, Rydberg dressing.
- Theoretical Optomechanics: Hybrid systems of cold atoms, nano-mechanical oscillators, lasers and Rydberg excited systems.
